You’re glowing, you’re growing…but you sure could use some sleep! Mama, we feel you.

Although pregnancy is one of the most amazing times in your life, it can also be one of the most challenging when it comes to catching a full night of Zzzs.

Body aches, night sweats, and swollen ankles are just a few of the things happening right now that you may not have counted on when you began your pregnancy journey.

Motherly is here to turn your nights of tossing and turning into a distant memory.

So lie back, snuggle in, and check out some of our favorites to make your next night’s sleep the best one yet—

1. A body pillow that slows down the tossing and turning: Nook Pebble Body Pillow

Finding a comfortable sleep position is no joke when you’re pregnant. We’ve shoved pillows under every nook and cranny trying to get it just right – until we discovered Nook’s Pebble Body Pillow. 100% organic cotton, this huge but super breathable pillow lets you settle into whatever cuddle position you want. We love that it’s weighty enough to keep a stray leg propped up, but still easily moved around at midnight if you need.

Pro tip: Keep it around post pregnancy as a great sitting support for your little one.

2. The ultimate snuggle buddy: the Snoogle

If you’re more of a full cocoon type, you will LOVE the Snoogle. This uniquely shaped pillow totally spoon-worthy: it follows your body’s contours and tucks into your curves in all the right places. And it does so without adding extra body heat. (Clearly we’re split here at Motherly on who loves the Pebble Body Pillow vs. the Snoogle more. The more options the better, we always say!)

Pro tip: If even the pillows aren’t helping, put your snoring husband on the couch for a night. We kid. Sort of.

3. The softest PJs around: Ingrid & Isabel Drop Cup Nursing & Lounge Cami and Shorts

We mayyy admit to sometimes stealing our husband’s t-shirts when we can’t fit into our favorite PJs anymore. But you deserve better! As if you needed another excuse to stay comfy all day, Ingrid + Isabel’s Drop Cup Nursing + Lounging Cami and Lounge Short are just the right things. We love the soft, stretchy fabric, the little bit of under-boob support, and the adjustable drawstring waist. Enjoy while you’re still sleeping through the night (even though we know you’re up at least once to pee!) and after baby’s arrival if you’re nursing.

Pro tip: Those hospital gowns aren’t so pretty. Or comfortable. Or Modest. Do yourself a favor and pack some PJs in your bag.

4. A bra you’ll actually look forward to wearing: Cake Lingerie Milk Bamboo Maternity and Nursing Sleep Bra

image 582 Motherly

The idea of sleeping with a bra may seem strange to you, but as the ladies get larger and heavier, you might actually find yourself uncomfortable come bedtime. That’s where sleep bras come in. We’re always a fan of Cake Maternity’s bras, and that holds true for their new Milk Bamboo Maternity and Nursing Sleep Bra. It has good support and soft elastic, plus nice, thick straps that won’t dig in.

Pro tip: You’ll keep wearing this wonder after baby is born to hold nursing pads so you don’t leak all over the sheets. Since you’re likely to keep growing, we suggest buying up a size if there’s any question about going smaller or larger.

5. Moisturizer for the smoothest skin: Beauty Counter Hydrating Body Lotion

image 583 Motherly

It’s one of those weird, unexplained pregnancy things that happens to a lot of women – itchy nighttime legs (and all over extra dry skin). Beauty Counter’s Hydrating Body Lotion in Citrus Mimosa blends oils and butters to give smooth, satisfying, and great smelling coverage to your body. We also love that since it’s from Beauty Counter, you can trust that it goes way above and beyond to ensure safe ingredients. That’s always a bonus, but especially when you’re pregnant.

Pro tip: Stock one in the bathroom for post shower care and another bedside for those middle-of-the-night itching wake up calls.

6. To put a stop to the snores: Breathe Right strips

Suddenly starting to snore was one of the last things we were expecting towards the end of pregnancy. Then one morning, we woke up to a video recording from our dear partner showing the buzz saw sounds coming out of us the night before. Short of kicking everyone out of hearing-proximity, the best solution we’ve found are Breathe Right Strips. Yes, you may feel a bit silly, but there’s no question they’ll help you—and the rest of the house—sleep more soundly.

Pro tip: The snoring will probably go away as soon as baby is out, but keeps these around anyway. They do double duty when you’ve got a stuffy nose come winter.

7. Something to soak up the sweat: McKesson StayDry Underpads

image 585 Motherly

Another not-often-talked-about side effect of pregnancy? Sweat. Lots of it. Especially while you sleep. (The hits just keep on coming, eh?) Both while pregnant and especially in the weeks just after birth, we must have lost half our body weight at night, sometimes waking up needing to change clothes. Sheets and jammies are washable, but your mattress? Not so much. We felt better knowing ours was covered in underpads to soak up all that moisture. Any brand should work, but we think the McKesson StayDry Underpads are a bit comfier to lie on.

Pro tip: Buy in bulk. These things are also great to use as disposable changing pads in the trunk of the car, on an airplane, or in your kid’s bed when they’re potty training.
