I came across this wall in Bushwick and instantly fell in love! What caught my eye at first was the gorgeous, strong women featured and how colorful and vibrant she was. Then, of course the message “Love is color” spoke to me as well. As a multiracial woman who is also raising mixed race children, it’s important to me that I teach my children to not only embrace what makes them different, but to also love others because of their differences too. To me, that is what this wall represents.

What’s your best tip for getting out and about with baby during the winter?
Layers, layers, layers. A cozy jumper and hat are a must, topped off a warm Bundleme, and you’re good to go. I swear my son loves being in his stroller even more during the winter months because it’s so cozy!

This farm-themed wall in Lakeview is so fun for my boys to visit. We shot our pictures in front of the giant tomato because I wanted a pop of red but there’s also a huge horse, cow, and chicken that my three-year-old likes to touch. It doesn’t hurt that it’s located around the corner from our favorite coffee shop, Heritage General Store.

What’s your best tip for getting out and about with baby during the winter?
Aside from investing in a comfortable and warm pair of boots, a Bundleme and an arsenal of cute hats, treating yourself to a hot drink — coffee, tea, hot chocolate — while you’re out and about will help warm you from the inside out.

I love this wall at my children’s school! It’s a painting of Afeni Shakur, an American activist in her community and the mother of Tupac Shakur. The school is named Roses in Concrete, inspired by a famous poem written by Tupac titled “The rose who grew from concrete.” Afeni Shakur came to the school a few times since it opened 3 years ago. Another fun fact: the school is located in the Oakland neighborhood that I grew up in! I use to attend the same school in elementary, but since then, it closed and reopened as the school my children attend today.

What’s your best tip for getting out and about with baby during the winter?
My tip for keeping your baby nice and warm while out and about in the winter is: don’t leave home without your Bundleme! Simple as that. I cannot rave enough about how good it feels to strap my baby in the stroller knowing that he is tucked in nice and cozy from the winter air! I even noticed that my baby is a bit less fussy since we’ve started using the Bundleme.

We love colorful walls — they remind me of our Chicago days, when we started a collection of wall picture-taking, even before kids! My husband and I would go explore Chicago together and take pictures of ourselves in front of interesting walls. We are pretty new to Boston and I feel like we are finding our place around New England through spotting cool walls.

What’s your best tip for getting out and about with baby during the winter?
Bundle them, bundle yourself and do frequent stops at coffee shops! A warm drink in hand and snacks for the squirming toddler can really make a difference…and make it possible to trek through the city.

NYC is my wall! It’s the best backdrop in the world.

What’s your best tip for getting out and about with baby during the winter?
As much as I love all four seasons in NYC, I have to admit winter is freezing! The only thing that can get you through these blustery times is a warm coat.

Tell us a little about your wall.
This wall, located at a market in SE Washington, D.C., is similar to a wall in Chelsea Market in Manhattan. The building behind this wall houses so many of D.C.’s creative startups and we love the creative community that it fosters. This heart wall is a bit of an iconic D.C. photo op. Above the hearts it reads, “Never Give Up.” I moved to D.C. three months before my business partner and I launched our company, which was tough to do in a new market with no industry friends! Union Market has always represented a welcoming spot for me, whether it’s for brunch with friends, meetings with clients or networking with industry pros….and now, walking my baby around in the snow!

What’s your best tip for getting out and about with baby during the winter?
Crew was a late spring baby, so getting out in cold weather is new to us, but I’ve already learned about the power of layers! We walk pretty much everywhere we go in the city, so it’s important to protect him from windy alleys or unexpected cold cloud coverage. But it’s equally important to remember to unbundle him when we get inside warm locations so he doesn’t overheat. I usually have an extra just-in-case muslin and a short-sleeved onesie as his bottom layer, just in case he gets too warm while I’m grocery shopping.

I love this wall because it’s in Provo where I met my husband and right outside from where I had my college graduation dinner. It’s also the wall where I used to shoot when I first started blogging.

What’s your best tip for getting out and about with baby during the winter?
As a mom you can do anything….that is, if your children are comfortable. And in the winter comfort comes in the form of staying warm. I love the Bundlemes because they are warm and cozy all day/night long.

This wall is in downtown Jersey City, right beside one of my husband and my favorite restaurants, Mathews. We love having date nights there. Their cocktails are the best! My husband’s favorite drink comes with a little plastic monkey on the rim.

What’s your best tip for getting out and about with baby during the winter?
Definitely keep the stroller packed with cold weather essentials! I love my stroller mittens, an extra cozy blanket, a warm hat for the baby, and of course, a cold weather stroller sack like the Bundleme. I keep it all in my stroller at all times, so if I run out the door, I’m prepared. And knowing that it’s always in there, helps me get out the door more quickly! Once I know baby is warm, I try to find events or errands that get me out of the house. Instead of ordering shampoo on Amazon, I go to the local pharmacy or store to grab it. No matter how little the errand or task is, it’s so important to get of the house with the baby, even when it’s cold out.

This wall is located right outside the Hawthorne Theatre, in the heart of the Hawthorne district. We love the Hawthorne neighborhood because it’s always bustling with people and has many diverse shops and restaurants. On this particular day, we had promised our daughters a trip to their favorite toy store, and they had a blast!

What’s your best tip for getting out and about with baby during the winter?
My best tip for getting out with kiddos during the winter months is to dress them in layers. I always add a sweater, coat and hat to my kiddos’ outfits, even under the Bundleme, so that they’re warm while we’re outside, and I can easily strip layers off and be comfortable when we go inside. I typically keep coats and hats in my car so that it’s easy to just jump in the car and go!s

Asher, 8 months

Tell us a little about your wall.
This wall has been one of our favorites since we moved to the neighborhood 10 years ago. Just this past year, it became even more special because the local book store, Books Are Magic, moved in just in time for me to have my baby. I bring him there often. The owner is a writer who used to work at the old neighborhood book shop, and when that closed, she decided to open this one. She felt, like the rest of us, that our neighborhood needed a local bookstore. It’s such a neighborhood gem.

What’s your best tip for getting out and about with baby during the winter?
It’s so much easier to get out of the house with the Bundleme! Layering my little one up takes too much time now that he’s so wiggly and on the move. The main thing I worry about now is keeping his head warm. I pack extra hats in my diaper bag because I’m always forgetting to put one on him when we run out of our apartment.
