Grief shows up in all kinds of ways and one of the ways it showed up for Chrissy Teigen, who lost her baby, Jack, in September was through exhaustion.

Since her loss she couldn’t stand up to take a shower–but that changed this week.

“I just had my first shower in like two months,” Teigen explained on an Instagram Story. “I’ve been taking baths because I couldn’t stand to be in the shower. I couldn’t, like, physically stand in the shower.”

She continued: “I feel really, really good…I feel very clear and very good.”

Teigen previously used Instagram to explain that the last two months have been “brutal, exhausting, sad, physically challenging [and] mentally painful.”

Five days ago she wrote: I can make it up my stairs only stopping once or twice instead of every other, and can get out of the bathtub all by myself as long as I have the promise john will dry me off.”

We’re happy to see Teigen feeling better. And happy that she is sharing this with the world. There are times in life when it his hard to even shower. That doesn’t mean you’re a failure, or broken. It means you’re human.
