It’s common practice to document your baby’s “firsts” along the way―first time eating solids, first time crawling or walking, first time going for a swing. Documenting those “firsts” is a little different for babies born during a global pandemic.

As parents slowly start to go out again more freely, those on social media are posting videos with the hashtag #pandemicbaby on TikTok as their babies experience every day adventures like shopping with mama, going to the playground for the first time, or showing off who their friends are (their parents, stuffed animals, pets, you get the idea). Their little expressions are beyond adorable.

While remaining cautious about Covid and kids is hugely important, it’s nice to feel like things are going back to normal a little bit at a time. Maybe now parents can go back to documenting those other “firsts”, too.
