Here's why having a second child can be so challenging.

But just because moms can stretch to this extent, does not mean we should long-term.
Failure to thrive does not mean you are failing as a mom.
Sometimes we scream because we don't feel heard. Sometimes we scream because the stress inside feels like it has to come out. Sometimes we scream because the physical demands of motherhood are so heavy that we have to moan and find a way to give voice to the struggle.
Being an older mom can be incredibly freeing.

Going through PPD has been tremendously challenging. As has been raising a newborn. Doing it without my village makes those challenges feel overwhelmingly impossible.
As the world as we knew it ground to a halt, life had a way of bringing everything into perspective.
The biggest takeaway of these last several weeks is the importance of making intentional choices—at work and at home.
It shouldn't be this way.
6. Write down your ta-da list.
We ask so much of ourselves. We ask too much of ourelves.
Listen, mom-guilt is a dirty liar. Yes, it's your job to fill your little human's needs, but you matter too. Don't forget to take care of yourself. Hang out with friends, take a drive blaring 90's hip hop or shower without interruptions—trust me, you'll be a better person (and mom) because of it.
