1. Be gentle with yourself
I want to make the time to not only do things for myself (self-care and all), but I want to make others feel special, too.
I’m just a sensitive mom in a loud and chaotic world.
It’s not just the pounds and inches shed that matter.
It’s okay—even necessary— to put yourself first.
2. “I can’t take any medication until I’m no longer pregnant/nursing.”
Unlike many preconceived notions, mindfulness meditation isn’t actually thinking about nothing.

It’s time to *finally* focus on giving yourself a little extra TLC you’ve been craving.
What is necessary is wraparound services. Respite, extended school years and more.
I’m giving up using other moms as a way of seeing myself. Life is hectic enough without making myself feel bad for not quite being able to button my old jeans yet.
