Name: Lauren Matison Crossley

Neighborhood: Manhattan

Occupation: Travel writer, co-founder of offMetro.com

Baby’s Sex: Boy

How would you describe your pregnant style?

Classic and comfortable. I tend to lean towards more minimalist, form-fitting outfits that let me embrace the bump without overthinking what to put on or pack.

Have you had any challenges learning to dress your body during pregnancy?

Not yet! I’ve definitely gotten a lot of use out of my Rosie Pope leggings, but I’ve also been wearing mostly non-maternity clothes. You can find some great preggo-friendly pieces on the Anthropologie sales racks.

So far, what has surprised you most during your pregnancy?

How easy it is for me to get tired. I can’t go go go the way I used to, but I’ve also realized the wonderful upside of slowing down. I am more grateful for the quiet little moments in the day, like a walk in Central Park with my husband and our whoodle Brooklyn.

What are you most looking forward to sharing with your baby?

Our love of the beach, books, and the great outdoors. I recently became the branch leader of Hike it Baby Manhattan and will start leading hikes in August. Non-Manhattanites are welcome to join!
