The 2020 Oscars red carpet may have started with rain but that didn't stop our favorite celebrity mamas from hitting the scene in stunning Hollywood glamour. Historically, the Oscars are known for A-listers wearing the most sought-after designers, as it celebrates the best in film—and this year didn't disappoint. From satin and sequins to pearls and vintage gowns, these mamas brought their A-game, and possibly, the most elegant looks in Hollywood so far this year.
Check out the best-dressed mamas from the 2020 Oscars:
Is there anything more stunning than a baby bump on the red carpet? America Ferrera, who is the voice of Astrid Hofferson in the film How To Train Your Dragon: Hidden World wore an Alberta Ferretti dress, Lisa Eisner jewels, Stuart Weitzman shoes and a Jennifer Behr headpiece. Gorgeous!
We love statement pieces and Natalie Portman's Dior cape was a total standout. The black cape featured the names of eight women directors who were overlooked, including Greta Gerwig, Lorene Scafaria and Lulu Wang. "I wanted to recognize the women who were not represented for their incredible work this year in a subtle way," she said on the red carpet. Mission accomplished!
Charlize Theron wore an off-the-shoulder black gown and accompanied it with a very special person—her mama. "I win the award for best date, for sure," the star and mama said on the E! News pre-show. We couldn't agree more!
This mama of two and co-host of the Oscars Red Carpet Show wore a Ralph Lauren dress and Jimmy Choo heels. Equally eye-catching was her ethereal Bvlgari earrings and red lip that clearly stole the red carpet.
The Saturday Night Live comedian and mom of four paired an orange sequin Valentino gown with green earrings that were once worn by Beyoncé . We also can't stop starring at her blunt haircut that's the perfect style for busy mamas to maintain.
New mama Tamron Hall looked regal in a Theia Couture empress gown, that was cut from black matte satin with a hand embroidered pearl collar. We're also obsessed with her short haircut and perfectly pink pout.
Remember when Mindy hit the red carpet at the 2018 Met Gala in a gorgeous white cap-sleeve gown and navy arm-length gloves less than six months after she birthed her daughter? Amazing, right? Well the actress stunned again, only this time she killed it in a one-shoulder yellow gown with a short train. Go, mama!
Scarlett looked marvelous in a silver Oscar de la Renta gown and a revealing corset that served as a perfect way to showcase her rose back tattoo that's in honor of her daughter, Rose Dauriac.
