Video: Vanessa + Kobe Bryant’s 11-month-old daughter Capri takes her first steps

Vanessa Bryant has been through more than most can imagine in the last few months. In January grief swept the nation when her husband Kobe Bryant and their middle daughter, 13-year-old daughter Gianna, were among nine people killed in a helicopter crash in Calabasas, California.

But Bryant and her daughters, 17-year-old Natalia, 3-year-old Bianka and 11-month-old Capri keep moving forward in honor of Kobe and Giana.

This weekend Capri took her first steps and her mama could not have been prouder, posting a video of the magical moment to Instagram.

“So proud of my Koko Bean,” Bryant wrote in her caption. “Capri took her first steps from her auntie Sophie to mama today.”

We are so happy to see this family enjoying this beautiful moment. In a previous Instagram post Bryant noted that “Capri looks just her daddy” and sometimes wears Gigi’s hand-me-downs, connecting her to her sister.

With her mama, older sisters and extended family to support her we are sure these first steps are just the beginning of a beautiful journey forward for Capri.
