"Mrs. H is at the Hollywood Bowl tonight!!!"
“With gentle hands and the heart of a fighter, I’m a SURVIVORRRRRR” lyrics are not only part of a very popular TikTok trend, but they’re part of the one and only Reba McEntire’s hit show from the early aughts. And the entire cast of “Reba” reunited at her concert to hear it in person—it’s just as sweet and heartwarming as you want it to be.
Over the weekend, the cast of “Reba” gathered to attend Reba McEntire’s show at the Hollywood Bowl. Melissa Peterman, JoAnna Garcia Swisher, Steve Howey and Christopher Rich were all recorded in the audience swaying and singing along to the theme song from the hit show, too.
Peterman (aka Barbara Jean) documented their pre-show antics on Instagram.
“Mrs. H is at the Hollywood Bowl tonight!!!” she captioned the photo of herself, Garcia Swisher, and Howey as they posed with a gigantic cutout of Reba’s head—as you do.

Peterman also shared a funny clip of Garcia Swisher (Cheyenne, real ones know) walking down a driveway carrying the cardboard cutout, waving to the camera and saying, “We got a show at the Bowl tonight! Reba and I are leaving, we got a show at the Bowl!”
On TikTok, a fan shared a viral video of the cast together dancing and singing along to the show’s now-iconic theme song and for some reason it made This Author emotional? It’s just so sweet. And I loved watching the show after school way back when. Ah, nostalgia!
For those too young (or too cool for Reba) to know, “Reba” aired on The CW from 2001-2007. McEntire starred as suburban mom Reba Hart, who lives in Houston. Peterman played the character Barbra Jean, a dental hygienist who becomes pregnant after being involved with Hart’s husband, Brock, played by Christopher Rich. Garcia Swisher played the eldest daughter of Reba and Brock, and Howey played her live-in himbo boyfriend, Van.

In an interview with “Entertainment Tonight” last month, Howey said he’s very open to the possibility of a series reboot.
“Yeah, I mean, I don’t even know because when I played Van on that show, I was in my early 20s,” he said. “And to see where Van is now and where the family is, I mean I would do anything. Reba says, ‘Jump,’ and I’ll say, ‘How high?'”
