Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas Share First Photo of Baby Girl- Motherly

In a heartfelt first Mother’s Day post on Instagram, Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra Jonas shared the first photo of their newborn baby girl. The couple also revealed that she spent 100 days in the NICU, and is finally at home with mom and dad.

“On this Mother’s Day we can’t help but reflect on these last few months and the rollercoaster we’ve been on, which we now know, so many people have also experienced,” the couple wrote in joint Instagram photos. “After 100 plus days in the NICU, our little girl is finally home. Every family’s journey is unique and requires a certain level of faith, and while ours was a challenging few months, what becomes abundantly clear, in retrospect, is how precious and perfect every moment is.”

Baby Malti Marie was born in January of this year, and is now at home and doing well—and the photo her proud parents shared is absolutely precious.

“We are overjoyed that our little girl is finally home, and just want to thank every Doctor, nurse and specialist at Rady Children’s La Jolla and Cedar Sinai, Los Angeles, who were there selflessly every step of the way,” Nick and Priyanka wrote. “Our next chapter begins now, and our baby is truly a badass. Let’s get it MM! Mommy and Daddy love you.”

Back in January, Priyanka and Nick shared the news of their baby’s arrival with the world.

“We are overjoyed to confirm that we have welcomed a baby via surrogate. We respectfully ask for privacy during this special time as we focus on our family,” they said at the time.

The couple has kept most of their baby news private, which is completely understandable for any celebrity—but especially given when the Jonas family has been going through. Priyanka also thanked other mothers in her life as well as her husband.

“Happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers and caretakers in my life and out there,” she said. “You make it look so easy. Thank you. Also, there is no one I’d rather do this with than you. Thank you for making me a mama Nick Jonas, I love you.”
