This is one of those birth stories that will have you asking yourself, “What are the odds?” Because at 2:22 a.m. on February 22, 2022 (2/22/22), “Twosday” baby Judah Grace Spear was born in North Carolina—and her parents are calling her their “miracle baby.”

The “two-riffic” birth also occurred in the hospital’s labor and delivery room No. 2, according to a Facebook post shared by Cone Health Alamance Regional Medical Center.

“Today is an extra special ‘twos-day’ for this newborn and her family!” Cone Health Alamance Regional Medical Center wrote in a Facebook post on Tuesday. “Judah Grace Spear was born on 2/22/22 at 2:22 a.m. at Alamance Regional Medical Center – in labor and delivery room 2!”

According to the hospital, new mama Aberli Spear is a survivor of Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, a cancer of the lymphatic system that inhibits the body’s ability to fight off infection.

Because of the treatments Aberli underwent for her cancer, the chances that she and her partner, Hank Spear, would be able to conceive children were limited. Chemotherapy and radiation, the typical treatments for Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, can cause permanent fertility changes.

“We chose the name Judah because it means ‘praise’ in Hebrew,” she said, according to a hospital news release. “She’s our miracle baby.”

Aberli Spear WFMY-TV that though her daughter’s time and day of birth is pretty awesome, it wasn’t at the center of her mind while delivering her.

“I heard all the nurses screaming in excitement, and I was like, ‘What is happening?’” she said. “I looked at him and I was like, ‘What time was she born?’ He was like, ‘2:22,’ and I like, ‘Oh, OK!’”

According to the National Weather Service, the “2/22/22” date won’t occur again for another four centuries—in 2422. All of this just makes Judah Grace Spear’s arrival even more special.

To perfectly “cap off” Judah’s birth, hospital nurses gave her a hat with not one, but two bows. Congratulations to the whole Spear family!
