If you use the Bugaboo Giraffe high chair at home, here’s an important safety update every parent should know. The popular baby gear brand issued a voluntary recall on June 12, 2025, of more than 18,000 units in the U.S. after reports that the legs of the chair can detach, creating a serious fall hazard for babies.
Why the recall was issued
According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), the legs of the Giraffe high chair can detach from the frame if the screws connecting them are not properly tightened during assembly. If the legs come loose, a child could fall from the chair, so it’s important to act quickly.
The company has received 22 reports of the legs detaching, including 13 reports of minor injuries. No serious injuries have been reported so far, but this is a good time to double-check and take action to keep your baby safe.
