Wondering if your little one's name—or the baby name you're trying to decide on right this second—is super popular? Nameberry released its list of the 2021 most popular baby names, and while you may associate "popular" with being common, this list of 2000 names is sure to surprise you. Noting that their list is more current than the Social Security Administration's list, Nameberry is wagering that these names will overtake the data for the official list, and "a name that's high on this popularity list will probably rise through the official ranks in coming years."

That means boy names like Danger (number 7 on the list) and girl names like Freya (number 8) may be what your kids (or yours) will hear on the playground in a few years. Plus, Nameberry's calculation of names like Luna and August feel correct when you think about recent celebrity baby names.

But, Nameberry isn't the only name predictor in town. Over in the UK, nametags manufacturer MyNametags has also released their list of the top 5 baby names for boys and girls. Scroll down to see if your favorites made the list!
