How would you describe your pregnant style?

Similar to my normal style which is pretty casual. I love a good pair of jeans, tee, and flats. I guess I would describe my style as feminine tom-boy, I love wearing a baseball hat and sneakers anytime I can get away with it.

Have you had any challenges learning to dress your body during pregnancy?

Not really. I’ve been sticking to pretty comfy style clothes with a lot of stretch, basically a bunch of knits. I’m not into actual maternity clothing (with the weird rouched sides) but rather have been buying longer tunics, knits, and really anything with stretch or slits in the side for extra growing room.

So far, what has surprised you most during your pregnancy?

Everything. Seriously, it’s been one of the more fascinating things I’ve ever experienced. And not in the sweet I’m-growing-a-life-inside-me way but rather the science of it. I’ve been totally in awe of my body during this process. Guys, my body is allowing me to grow another human. It’s like the coolest magic trick I can think of.

What are you most looking forward to sharing with your baby?

Everything.

What’s your 5 registry essentials?

I opted out of all the baby shower nonsense so didn’t have a traditional registry. I did get a lot of recommendations from friends which included an amazing spreadsheet on what they bought and comments on what they loved/hated. My husband and I made a secret registry and used it mainly as our checklist of things to get before the baby and only recently hit the buy-all button. We didn’t get that much, trying to keep it pretty minimal. I think I’ll be more qualified to answer this after I use the items to figure out what worked for us and what didn’t. Getting advice from friends was extremely helpful.

Chelsa is wearing:

Storq knit tank dress which I love! Even though it is maternity, it doesn’t have the design details I hate about maternity clothing. Instead, it’s pretty simple and has a lot of stretch. It’s the perfect basic I can layer anything over and feel like myself.
