How would you describe your pregnant style?

First and foremost, comfortable! But definitely with an edge and some chic accents from a good shoe be it a sneaker, wedge or chunky heel! I’ve never been on the hunt for so many cool sneakers and flats shoes- since I have a toddler at home too, I haven’t worn any of my heels in months.

Now that my bump is pretty big, I prefer to wear fitted tops and allow my bump to be the accessory! And I definitely wear lots of black; it makes me look and feel stylish despite carrying a watermelon around my middle. I love to match higher end items with more affordable brands; my go-tos are loose and chunky knits from H&M paired with my AG maternity jeans and a funky wedge sneaker.

Have you had any challenges learning to dress your body during pregnancy?

Getting dressed when your pregnant can be a challenge in and of itself; but doing this while also keeping up with a 20-month old is a whole other story! So my biggest challenge has been finding clothing that I can move around easily in while I’m constantly squatting and chasing after my daughter, while also feeling comfortable and true to my personal style when I’m out and about on the UES.

So far, what has surprised you most during your pregnancy?

My energy levels. All ranges of energy from feeling like Super Woman to needing nothing more than my bed and a huge cup of tea. Ask me every morning around 11am how I am doing and I feel like I am on top of the world. Usually I’ve already been up with my daughter for 4-hours, already fed her 2 meals, gone to the gym myself, and brought my daughter to a music or gym class. But, on any of those days, ask me again how I am doing around 2pm and I feel like I am ready for bed. It’s surprising how I become tired so much more easily this time around compared with my first pregnancy and of course it makes sense when one is keeping up with a toddler all hours of the day!

What are you most looking forward to sharing with your baby?

One of our family’s favorite things to do is go to Central Park with our dog on weekend mornings. Dogs are free to be off leash before 9am, and our toddler frolics after our dog and the rest of the pups running free in the park during those hours. We’ve been doing this since our toddler was just a few weeks old. These mornings are such special moments for us; Central Park transcends city life, making you feel as if you’ve left Manhattan all together and entered an enchanted forest. I can’t wait to bring our newest addition there to watch her sister and dog enjoy the magical park in the center of our big city.
