Breast cancer is the second most common type of cancer among women so, chances are, you know someone who has been affected by it. Across Team Motherly we’ve had grandmothers, mothers and friends who have done battle, so we’re always on the lookout for ways to help fund research beyond traditional donations.
The entire month of October is dedicated to raising awareness and encouraging women to do self-checks or schedule their mammograms. After all, early detection is paramount. Which means this month is a time that many companies and organizations work together to raise funds for breast cancer research. If you’re already planning on shopping (or getting a head start on your holiday list) this is a great way to give back.
