Racism is a hot topic these days and our favorite furry muppets are helping parents explain it to little ones. Moderated by Van Jones, Erica Hill and Big Bird, CNN and Sesame Street will join forces for a 60-minute special "Coming Together: Standing Up to Racism. A CNN/Sesame Street Town Hall for Kids and Families" to teach kids how to embrace diversity and be empathetic to others struggles and concerns.

Along with the hosts, children will be greeted by Abby Cadabby, Gabrielle, Rosita, humans Roscoe Orman and Sonia Manzano, and of course Elmo and his dad Louie.

The educational program is on a mission to help kids grow smarter, stronger, kinder and the upcoming town hall isn't their first initiative. In April, CNN hosted its first town hall that addressed concerns surrounding the coronavirus pandemic.
