First-time parents Jinger Duggar and husband Jeremy Vuolo made their friends work to learn whether a little boy or girl is on the way—and the answer was written in pink! ?

We are so happy to announce that we are having a little baby girl,” the couple recently announced after hosting a gender reveal for friends and family. “We could not be more excited and are eagerly anticipating meeting our little lady this summer.”

So Thankful! #siblingday

Although Duggar’s fans got to learn the gender reveal the easy way, her close friends had a bigger challenge: The couple divided their friends and family into a pink and a blue team and had them complete an obstacle course—after eating a container of ice cream.

Then the winning team had the honor of flipping a switch on a neon “baby” sign to reveal it written in pink! Just for good measure, Duggar and Vuolo sprayed everyone with pink silly string.

The next day, Duggar and Vuolo were the ones in for a surprise when their friends threw them a baby shower complete with a Mexican food truck, polenta cart and floor-to-ceiling pink decorations.

“The shower was an amazing time of celebrating our new arrival with loved ones,” the couple tells People. “We were overwhelmed by the kindness and thoughtful generosity of everyone.”

Adding they “cannot wait to shower her with love,” the pair says they are grateful their daughter will have excellent role models from both of her grandmothers. (Not to mention the Counting On star’s ever-growing number of sisters and sisters-in-law!)

The Vuolos little girl is set to make her arrival in July, which will make her the 12th Duggar grandchild—with brother Joseph Duggar and his wife, Kendra, expecting their first baby just a few weeks before the Vuolos. It sure is a busy time for the Duggar family. Then again, with 19 children, when is that not the case?

Congratulations all around! ?
