Keke Palmer is a mama! She and her boyfriend, Darius Jackson, welcomed their first child earlier this week. They announced the happy news on Instagram, sharing some sweet family photos and the baby boy’s name!

“Only 48hrs of being parents!” Palmer captioned the photos, showing her hospital birth with Jackson alongside her.

“Hey Son!!!!” Palmer wrote, adding: “Born during Black History Month, with a name to match! LEODIS ANDRELLTON JACKSON, welcome to the world baby Leo.”

Palmer first announced her pregnancy during her opening monologue while hosting “Saturday Night Live” last fall.

“There’s some rumors going around, people have been in my comments saying, ‘Keke’s having a baby, Keke’s pregnant,’ and I wanna set the record straight — I am!” Palmer exclaimed, ripping open a long jacket to reveal her growing baby bump right on stage.

Palmer has been open in the past about suffering from polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), a common condition that causes infertility issues in women. She has been vocal about symptoms for years, including in her 2021 interview with Tamron Hall where she explained that her initial symptoms included bad acne and facial hair.

PCOS is a hormonal disorder that can cause a variety of symptoms, from irregular or painful periods and weight changes, to acne and unwanted hair growth. It can also increase the risk of mental health disorders, and cause infertility. The good news is that while PCOS can cause infertility, it’s often fixable with appropriate treatment since this issue is ovulation dysfunction.

This is why Instagram fans were especially pumped about Palmer’s big baby bump reveal last year. One wrote, “Yes @keke!!!!! #MIRACLEBABY on the way!!!! This is even more special knowing that she is a #PCOS warrior because polycystic ovarian syndrome is one of the most common causes of infertility. There is HOPE!!!”

As for life as a mom, Palmer may only be a few days in but it’s clear she’s happier (and probably more tired) than ever.

Congrats to the whole family and welcome to the world, baby Leo!
