In less than a week, Joe Biden will become the 46th President of the United States. His inauguration ceremony is set for January 20th and we now know that superstars like Jennifer Lopez, Lady Gaga, and Justin Timberlake will perform that day.

Lady Gaga will perform the National Anthem at the swearing-in ceremony, which is slated to begin at noon. Jennifer Lopez will also perform. Both women endorsed Biden during his campaign.

Biden’s inaugural committee is also producing a 90-minute, primetime television special called “Celebrating America.”

It’ll be hosted by Tom Hanks and will feature performances from Justin Timberlake, Ant Clemons, Demi Lovato, and Jon Bon Jovi.

“Celebrating America” will combine live and pre-taped performances from several locations across the country. It will also include special remarks from Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris.

Justin Timberlake announced his involvement with the special on Instagram, where he shared a short video about the making of his latest song, Better Days, with Ant Clemons.

“A few months ago, during lockdown, @antclemons and I wrote a song together called BETTER DAYS. (I actually recorded my final vocals for this song on election night…),” Timberlake wrote.

“This past year brought a lot of frustration, grief, anger — and there were times when it was easy to feel powerless. This song was our way of doing what little we could to encourage everyone to stay hopeful… and keep working towards a better, more equal future.

I’m very honored to announce we will be performing this song on January 20th for the Presidential Inauguration. We have a long way to go to fix, undo, and rebuild this country… but I hope now, despite the past four years, we are on our way.”

Demi Lovato also shared the news on Instagram, writing that she was left speechless when asked to perform. Jon Bon Jovi has yet to publicly comment on the news, though he does have a special section on his Instagram page devoted to his work on the 2020 Biden campaign.

We’re looking forward to these superstar performances!

During President Obama’s two inaugurations, we received incredible performances from Aretha Franklin, Beyonce, Yo-Yo Ma, James Taylor, Kelly Clarkson, and more. Four years ago, 3 Doors Down, Toby Keith, Jackie Evancho, and more performed at President Donald Trump’s inauguration ceremonies.

Trump, who this week became the first president in U.S. history to be impeached twice, said he does not plan to attend Biden’s inauguration. Vice President Mike Pence is expected to attend.
