I think we can all agree that the 1988 horror film, “Child’s Play” is the stuff of nightmares. But seeing a real life Chucky walking down the street? Absolutely terrifying.

Well, that’s exactly what happened in an Alabama neighborhood on July 13.

Kendra Walden and two other women were driving down the street in Albertville, Alabama when they saw what looked to be a life-size Chucky doll.

Lucky for us (or maybe not so lucky since now we’ll all be having nightmares tonight!), the Alabama resident posted the pictures on her Facebook page.

Walden spoke to TODAY and says, “I was remodeling a house in the area and me and some of my employees were headed home from that house.”

She adds that she thought she was hallucinating when she first saw it.

“When we got closer to him we saw that it was real,” she said. “It scared the heck out of us.”

So, it’s understandable when Walden describes what they did next as “screaming like little kids.”

But then, she says, they wanted to get a closer look!

I would turn the car in the opposite direction and drive away, but that’s just me (screaming at the top of my lungs, of course).

The driver, Walden’s employee Alexis Atchley, turned the car around so they could all get a closer look.

“When we circled back around (the boy) had his mask off, but quickly popped it back on and crossed the street after we passed,” Walden explains, “We turned around again and that’s when we got the photos.”

Walden uploaded the photos along with the caption, “Dear Parents of the little boy in the chucky costume in Pinson,” Walden captioned the photos. “GET YOUR KID….I almost had a heart attack.”

The post has now been shared more than 108,000 times and has over 52,000 likes.

Walden says she shared it “just for fun.” Once people started asking her to reshare it, she made it public and it has clearly entertained many, many people.

But who is this terrifying pint-sized real life Chucky impersonator? Well, turns out it was just a five-year-old child having a good time with his Halloween costume.

“The mother of the child eventually commented on our post and after looking at her photos we knew it was her son,” Walden said.

Looks like Halloween came a little bit early for the unsuspecting residents of this Alabama town!
