Breast cancer is the second most common type of cancer among women so, chances are, you know someone who has been affected by it. Across Team Motherly we’ve had grandmothers, mothers and friends who have done battle, so we’re always on the lookout for ways to help fund research beyond traditional donations.

The entire month of October is dedicated to raising awareness and encouraging women to do self-checks or schedule their mammograms. After all, early detection is paramount. Which means this month is a time that many companies and organizations work together to raise funds for breast cancer research. If you’re already planning on shopping (or getting a head start on your holiday list) this is a great way to give back.

We’ve highlighted some our favorite products that are donating percentages of proceeds directly to research throughout Breast Cancer Awareness month.

nez deodorant

nez

$15

13. Aluminium-Free Deodorant

Making the switch to natural deodorant was one of the best decisions I’ve made—and nez is my new favorite. For starters, the Date Ready Smoky Blend scent is a total dupe for the Le Labo Thé Noir 29 I’ve worn for ages which would be enough to get me hooked. However, I’ve put the hard-working formula to the test against countless pilates classes, hikes, and even a HIIT class or two and I still want to deeply inhale my armpit scent afterward. In addition to donating 1% of annual sales to the National Breast Cancer Foundation throughout the year, nez will also donate $250k worth of full-sized deodorants to a bevy of Breast Cancer Awareness initiatives this year.
