How would you describe your pregnant style?

I tend to stick with easy, classic basics because with a toddler running around the apartment, I simply don't have much time to put much thought into my everyday wardrobe. I need to just be able to throw something over my head and look reasonably presentable. So dresses have been taking over my closet since having Avery and now even more so.

Have you had any challenges learning to dress your body during this pregnancy?

I started showing very early on in this pregnancy and started growing bumps and lumps in places I never did before when pregnant with my daughter. So au lait's current fall line features a couple of styles that hides my newly found back lumps. Flowy double layered tops and dresses have been my best friend for the past 4 months.

So far, what has surprised you most during your pregnancy?

My first pregnancy was very easy since I hardly had any symptoms. So what surprised me the most about this pregnancy is how each pregnancy can really be so different. I was sick and dizzy for about 4 months and soon after, aches and pains started in my lower body so that walking and/or sitting are both hard on certain days. A nice surprise, however, is how quickly the baby inside the belly became a part of the family in our daily conversation with my daughter and he is not even here yet!

What’s been your favorite pregnancy piece or brand to show off your bump?

My belly is so big and pointy this time, when I really want to show it off, I wear pieces from Pleats Please by Issey Miyake because the way the belly distorts the pleats on the garment really makes my belly look extra trippy. Other than that, I have been living in the tee dress with some leggings and the asymmetrical dress from the au lait line.

What NYC experience are you most looking forward to sharing with your baby?

Central Park!!
