How would you describe your pregnant style?
I guess my pregnancy style is pretty similar to my normal style, which may be considered classic? My “go-tos” are simple and neutral separates that anchor any kind of fun accessory pieces I can find. I really didn’t want to spend a lot on a new maternity wardrobe so I found it most helpful to just buy the basic essentials like tank tops , long sleeve shirts, black leggings, and maternity jeans , and then wear them with my pre-maternity blazers, cardigans, and accessories. I had the most luck shopping online at Destination Maternity.
Have you had any challenges learning to dress your body during pregnancy?
The biggest challenge for me was just embracing the belly (and every other area of my body that was growing!). At first, it was hard for me to still feel feminine when my body was changing and growing so quickly — especially, during the early stages of pregnancy when I wasn’t telling many people. Flowy tops and skinny jeans became my staple.
So far, what has surprised you most during your pregnancy?
The change in my sleep schedule. I used to be such a night owl and now I can’t stay up past 10 pm! Plus, I’m up at 5 am like clockwork almost every morning. I guess this is just my body preparing me for the early morning wake ups!
What are you most looking forward to sharing with your baby?
Introducing her to our amazing family and friends. This little girl has no idea how much she is loved already and the fun that’s in store by being part of this crazy bunch!
