Famous mamas-to be: The celeb mamas expecting babies right now

If you’re rocking a bump right now, you’ve got some celebrity company as plenty of Hollywood heavyweights are also expecting at the moment. And, better yet, in the age of social media we don’t have to wait for a big magazine spread of the burgeoning bumps—because these famous moms are cutting out the middleman to share adorable their middles with other mamas online.

Serena Williams

Tennis champ Serena Williams accidentally announced her pregnancy through Snapchat back in April—but since then she’s kept us intentionally updated on her pregnancy journey by posting sweet selfies of her growing baby bump on social media. “So few surprises in life these days, that’s why I'm waiting to find out the sex of the baby,” Williams told Instagram followers in a recent post.

Brooklyn Decker

Model Brooklyn Decker is also expanding her tennis-loving family, although she’s not quite as far along as Williams. Decker, along with husband Andy Roddick and son Hank (who turns 2 in September) are getting ready for a baby girl. After Roddick announced the pregnancy last month while being inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame, Decker posted a baby bump portrait to the Instagram account for her wardrobe company, yourFinery.

Nikki Reed

Nikki Reed is another Hollywood mama who put pregnancy pics on her business ‘gram. The actress and sustainable fashion designer can be seen on social media rocking her baby bump while wearing her line, Bayou with Love. Reed’s husband, Vampire Diaries actor Ian Somerhalder, announced the pregnancy on his Instagram back in May. “In my 38 years on this earth I've never experienced anything more powerful and beautiful than this,” the soon-to-be dad wrote in the photo caption.

Julia Stiles

Alright, I couldn't resist.

Julia Stiles is expecting her first baby later this year—and just shared her first official bumpfie on Instagram. Also, in “celebs: they’re just like us” news, who else can relate to being totally unable to resist sharing a good baby bump picture?!

Jaime Pressly

My Name is Earl star Jaime Pressly is expecting—times two! The actress announced in June that she is preparing for the arrival of twin boys, who will join 10-year-old brother, Dezi.

Jamie Lynn Sigler

Jamie Lynn Sigler shared the news with her husband—and later the world—with this cute picture of her many, many pregnancy tests. This will be baby No. 2 for the Sopranos star and her pro baseball player hubby, Cutter Dkystra.

Mindy Kaling

The Office alum Mindy Kaling is being a bit more private when it comes to showing off her bump. The star of The Mindy Project hasn’t yet posted any bumpfies of social media, but recent red carpet snaps prove the mom-to-be is looking as stylish as ever and isn’t having to move into maternity wear just yet.

Jessica Alba

Founder of The Honest Company is another Hollywood mom about to add to her family. She hasn’t posted many bump pics lately, but did take to social media to post an adorable pregnancy announcement to Instagram on July 17. Clutching her belly and a balloon in the shape of the number three, the mom and entrepreneur stood alongside her two daughters, Honor and Haven, to let the world know she and husband Cash Warren were expecting another little one.

Melissa Rauch

Big Bang Theory’s Melissa Rauch announced her pregnancy while also reflecting on the heartbreak of miscarriage in July. “All I really know for sure is that this experience has changed me forever," she wrote in a thoughtful essay for Glamour. "I know it's made me grateful for every moment of my current pregnancy, and I hope it will make me a better mother in some capacity when I can finally hold the child that has been in my heart in my arms."

Daphne Oz

Foodie Daphne Oz is expecting her third baby this winter—which she announced to the delight of her co-stars on The Chew in June. She’s since been adorably documenting her pregnancy on Instagram. We especially love this recent snap, which she captioned, “I figured since I missed out on #nationalmargaritaday & #nationaltequiladay, #nationalwatermelonday would get my full support.” ?

Christina Perri

guess what?

The latest celebrity to join the baby boom is singer Christina Perri, who announced her pregnancy this past weekend with an adorable picture featuring her niece. The news comes two months after she announced her engagement to her boyfriend—meaning this has been quite the exciting summer!

The only thing we love more than sweet bump photos? Newborn shots! Can’t wait until these little babes make their debuts. ?

Why do all of my good parenting or baby-focused inventions come after they've already been invented by someone else? Sigh.

Like the Puj hug hooded baby towel, aka the handiest, softest cotton towel ever created.

Safely removing a wet, slippery baby from the bath can be totally nerve-wracking, and trying to hold onto a towel at the same time without soaking it in the process seems to require an extra arm altogether. It's no wonder so much water ends up on the floor, the countertops, or you(!) after bathing your little one. Their splashing and kicking in the water is beyond adorable, of course, but the clean up after? Not as much.

It sounds simple: Wash your child, sing them a song or two, let them play with some toys, then take them out, place a towel around them, and dry them off. Should be easy, peasy, lemon squeezy, right?

But it hasn't been. It's been more—as one of my favorite memes says—difficult, difficult, lemon difficult. Because until this towel hit the bathtime scene, there was no easy-peasy way to pick up your squirming wet baby without drenching yourself and/or everything around you.

Plus, there is nothing cuter than a baby in a plush hooded towel, right? Well, except when it's paired with a dry, mess-free floor, maybe.

Two weeks. I cannot believe that it has been two weeks since my second son was brought into this world. Two weeks since my husband and I welcomed baby Simon, the final piece of our little family.

But, here is the whopper: It has been two weeks since I have been the mom of a toddler and a newborn. I am now responsible for taking care of two tiny humans.

It absolutely blows my mind how much my life has changed in the last two weeks. It's definitely not all rainbows and unicorns around here, but things are going pretty well. This is me being cautiously optimistic.

What I have done is learned a lot about myself, my kids and my new life in the last two weeks.
