Kylie Jenner has covered many magazines in her 20 years of life. Still, this week’s cover is a first: Forbes Magazine isn’t just featuring the cosmetics queen on their list of the “60 richest self-made women,” but they are projecting Jenner will soon be the youngest self-made billionaire in America.

And to consider Jenner is accomplishing all of this while balancing motherhood sends no small message about what is possible.

Jenner’s fortune is due to the success of her line of lip kits, which she first began to develop in 2014 before bringing to market with her own money from past modeling contracts. It was an immediate hit with the first 15,000 kits selling out within minutes. Since then, Jenner’s business has expanded to the point where she is currently worth an estimated $900,000 million. (For comparison, Kim Kardashian is worth an estimated $350,000 million.)

If Jenner stays on pace, Forbes estimates she will hit the $1 billion threshold within the year—besting Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg, who currently has the title “youngest self-made billionaire” for having that much in the bank by the age of 23.

Not only is Jenner set to soon be a billionaire, and not only is she the youngest person on Forbes’ list of the 60 richest self-made women in America, but she’s doing it as a mom. That, she says, gives her even more drive.

“Maybe one day [I’ll] pass this on to Stormi, if she’s into it,” says the Kylie Cosmetics CEO.

But, for now, it’s something that Jenner is proud to call her own. “I struggled for a minute with finding something to do,” she says, noting her siblings all have their niches. “Ever since I was in sixth grade, I would wear purple eye shadow. I turned to makeup to help me feel more confident.”

This all goes to show that motherhood and taking pride in your career can be compatible—even if you aren’t a 20-year-old soon-to-be billionaire.
