Our editor tested (and found) the best clothing subscription boxes for kids

Kids on 45th

If there is one thing kids constantly need it's new clothes. They grow fast, seasons change, trends change and we parents are left trying to catch up with what our family needs to get out of the house.

Enter: Clothing subscription boxes to save your bank and your mental load.

I had tried subscription boxes for myself before having kids and loved the surprise factor. Plus, I realized I was keeping things that I wouldn't have picked myself but were actually super flattering. When I found out there were a variety of boxes for kids I had to try them and let me tell you, they didn't disappoint.

You get a curated box designed specifically for your kid based on the info you submit so if you are a busy parent (🙋♀️) with little time to shop and want the peace of mind of knowing you'll have enough shirts and pants to cover an entire week, these are for you.

Here are our favorites:

To get started, you just take a quiz with your kid's preferences in clothing. Once the KIBOX team has your responses, they'll put together a personalized box with six to seven items. They carry over 160 premier brands (take a look here). Once you receive your box, you can have your kid try on everything and you'll only pay for what you keep. Shipping is free both ways so you don't have to feel bad about returning anything you don't love.

Their sizes go from newborn to 14 years old.

Kids on 45th

At Kids on 45th you create a profile for your child with their likes and dislikes, then get to choose what clothing types and quantities you want. For example, if you are running low on winter clothes you can specify you want more long sleeve shirts or jackets. What we really love about Kids on 45th is that all their clothes are secondhand and gently used, which helps the environment by keeping them out of landfills—plus, you get more bang for your buck. You can have up to 17 items in a $35 box! Also, sometimes you might even get clothes with tags (happened to me.) They carry sizes baby to 16 years old.

If there's something you don't like in the box you don't need to return it, you'll get a credit for that item and you are free to donate or pass on to another mama friend, that way everyone wins.

Rockets of Awesome

They carry awesome clothes—I mean, just take a look at their Instagram for inspo—and allow you to either subscribe to their boxes to save money or pick the stuff you love and buy right then. All the clothes are designed by their own designer team and range in sizes 2T to 14.

If you decide to go the subscription route, you'll get four boxes a year (one for every season) with eight unique pieces from their line. If there's something you don't like, you can return and just pay for what you keep.

Choulala box

Kids fashion simplified

Choulala box delivered exactly what I'd want from a subscription box for my child: unexpected quality, charming details (subtle but sparkly sequins on a tiered toddler dress? yes please), and high-quality brands. My daughter is obsessed with her leather strappy shoes and all the looks we were sent. It's the sweetest box to delight your child, gift a friend, or just enjoy the adorableness of your beautiful baby.

Nike adventure club

Nike Adventure Club

Kids outgrow shoes like crazy, I basically cannot keep up with my son's feet! That's why I love the Nike Adventure Club subscription box. You can choose from three plans: $20 a month for four pairs a year, $30 a month for six pairs a year or $50 a month for 12 pairs a year. All the shoes you get are brand new and come with an adventure booklet to spark your little one's curiosity. They also have really cool sneakers, to the point where when I got my son's pair, I liked them so much I had to check if Nike made them in my size.

Babies come with a lot of stuff. And when you're out and about, a roomy, comfy diaper bag is the place for everything you need to be prepared for whatever the day throws your way. But is a cute, trendy diaper bag that doesn't scream, well... DIAPER BAG, too much to ask? It's not, mamas.

We've rounded up our favorite diaper bags that don't actually look like diaper bags, but instead like the cute, super stylish bags you might have carried before the days of finding crushed up puffs at the bottom of your purse.

These bags prove you can get the job done, mama—and look darn good while doing it.

A good kid's winter coat needs to do a few basic things really well: be incredibly warm, water-resistant, easy to clean and a classic style so it can look good bundled over any other clothing they're wearing. For this reason, I usually avoid coats with heavy branding or patterns so that any winter outfit I put my son in "goes" with his jacket.

Primary is always one of my go-to brands for their super simple classic styling, so I was happy to see that Primary is currently having a sale on their solid-colored and high-quality winter gear. This kid's winter puffer coat caught my eye because it's on a steep discount (more than 50% off!), fits all my criteria above and even has a few bonus features I didn't know I needed but now totally love.

Kid’s winter puffer coat

I'm loving this jacket because it's fleece-lined, has thumbholes (so helpful in making sure my toddler doesn't lose his gloves) and comes with an "I belong to" ID label so that his coat won't get mixed up in the sea of other winter jackets at pre-school. Plus, it comes in six great colors and has a five-star rating.

As one reviewer put it, "This coat prompted my first review because it's perfect! Warm enough without being restrictive, easy zipper for my 5-year-old to manage himself and easy to clean! He loves the thumb holes!"

Originally $68.00
