Home / Holidays Cute Brooklyn Dads’ Mother’s Day Gifts Awwwwwwww. By Jessica Pallay May 6, 2016 Rectangle There’s nothing like people-watching when you live in NYC. But once you become mama, this practice becomes slightly more specific. It’s called dad-watching. Because, well, dads are cute. Especially Brooklyn dads. So for your viewing pleasure, here’s a few cute Brooklyn dads sharing what they’re getting their baby mamas for Mother’s Day. Get some gift ideas. Or just dad-watch. Happy Mother’s Day! Mark Meyer, Software Developer, Greenpoint Baby: Joel, 8.5 months Why mom’s amazing: She has endless energy, patience and love for our beautiful baby boy. Plus she’s gorgeous! Mother’s Day Gift: Zeel massage. If money was no object: If money were no option, a Zeel massage every single day! Marcus Ward, Greenpoint, Marketing Consultant Baby: Sloan, 20 months Why mom’s amazing: My wife, Shannon, is our rock! Her bond with Sloan is unbreakable, and our home is always filled with laughter and good times, even during the toughest days. Mother’s Day Gift: Spa Package and Bronx Zoo tickets for a family outing. If money was no object: Cartier Love Bracelet Robert James, Fort Greene, Brooklyn, founder of By Robert James Babies: Wyatt James “WJ” (almost 3), Presley James “P Dog” (1 month) Why mom’s amazing: 1. She is a Natural. She does all the stuff Moms do (worries, asks millions of questions, makes you eat right, stays is charge and needs control). 2. She works on it relentlessly. Reading books blogs, taking the kids here and there and every where buying all the best stuff, making sure they are eating the healthiest meals and giving herself both day and night! That what Moms do and thats why my wife is the best Mom EVER! Mother’s Day Gift: This year I’m going to give ML a little free time, pampering and a Hazeline Five points band from our favorite jewelry designer Anna Sheffield. And, a box of Oreo Cookies (her favorite that she doesn’t indulge in as often as she likes), dinner with the family at Shabu Tatsu (her favorite restaurant), a massage at Fishion Herb Center which is one of the best kept secrets on Mott Street. Shawn Golhar, Clinton Hill, Finance Baby: Vali (almost 3 months), Clinton Hill Why mom’s amazing: My wife, Nobar, is so amazing because she is a wonderful mom for our little son, a caring daughter for her parents and mine, and a super hot wife! Jokes aside, she’s my partner in everything and has been an amazing mom for Vali. Mother’s Day Gift: For Mother’s Day, I bought Nobar this ring. Nobar has a more exotic taste for jewelry than others, so I always keep an eye out for unique pieces. I also booked her a massage at a local place in Brooklyn and plan to cook her brunch that morning. And of course, I’ll let her sleep in while I feed and play with Vali. If money were no object: If money were no object, and if we had the time, and if we could travel easily with our little guy, I would would take her back to the Maca Kizi resort in Bodrum, Turkey. A few years ago, while we were dating, we attended a wedding in Sarajevo and then spent a week at this beautiful resort eating, drinking, and relaxing. Andrew Kalish, Director, Downtown Brooklyn Partnership, Brooklyn Heights Baby: Julian Alexander Kalish, nine months Why mom’s amazing: Steph is one of a kind. Brilliant, funny, driven, kind, beautiful, she’s the complete package. She launched her own business in the middle of the great recession and in a few short years grew it into one (if not the) top nutrition practice in the entire city. All that while being a remarkable mother and incredible partner. There is nothing she can’t do. Mother’s Day Gift: I’m getting her classes at Trapeze School New York. Steph’s an incredible athlete and loves adventure, she’s been dying to do this for some time. If money was no object: I would register her for the Paris Marathon, hire back her favorite running coach and then plan a fantastic 10-day trip. Doug Cohen, Co-founder of Stadium Status Babies: Simone and Ayla 8 months, Greenpoint Why mom’s amazing: With all due respect to any mom, she’s a twin mom! Time and sanity are in short order when you have 2 screaming infants, but she’s somehow held it together and is raising two amazing little ladies, while holding down a full time job (and turning me into a super feminist because of them!). Mother’s Day Gift: My favorite sneaker right now. Adidas Ultra Boost. They are super light and incredibly comfortable, and since she loves sneakers almost as much as i do…… If money was no object: Wellllll we are hopefully, maybe in the process of buying a house so money was an object but we will hopefully soon have a place to call our own and let the girls have a childhood home, so thats the answer to that one.
