Back-to-school season looks a little different this year . This season we’re arming our kids with hand sanitizers, masks and disinfect sprays while trying to maintain a bit of normalcy with backpacks, shoes and dresses kids will love. According to the annual survey by the National Retail Federation and Prosper Insights & Analytics, parents plan to spend an average $789.49 per family on back-to-school shopping—much higher than the previous record of $696.70 last year.

Sounds like we’re all gunning for an A+ in back-to-school shopping, that’s why we rounded up everything you need to get your family through the first few months. (We even included pajamas in case virtual school is your pick.). Take a deep breath, you’ve got this mama.

Here’s what we’re buying for the first day of school and beyond:

If there’s one feature in a kids shoe that we constantly look for, it’s extra-wide widths. When you’re trying to get little ones out the door the last thing you want to do is fumble with wonky shoes. That’s why we’re obsessed with these kicks, designed to accommodate orthotics, braces and extra-wide widths. And, of course, there are traditional sizes for kids with standard sized feet.
