We know Valentine’s Day can turn into a sugar-filled holiday, and fast, but there are tons of ways to sneak protein and fruit into these breakfast ideas. Plus, a breakfast from the heart makes for the perfect gift for your little valentine, too!

1. Heart-shaped pancakes 

Use a heart-shaped cookie cutter to turn regular old pancakes into a cute Valentine’s Day-themed breakfast. Your kids will think you’re a pancake magician! 

2. Heart-shaped cinnamon rolls

Whether they’re homemade or from the can, no one will be able to resist these heart-shaped rolls of gooey cinnamon deliciousness. 

3. Red, pink and white sprinkled donuts 

As Feb. 14 approaches, keep an eye out for red, pink and white sprinkled donuts at your local bakery, donut shop or grocery store. Donuts make for an easy and quick V-Day breakfast, especially for families with busy mornings. 

4. Strawberry milk mocktail 

These strawberry milk mocktails look fancy, but take little to no time to whip up! Garnish with red or chocolate sprinkles, conversation hearts, chocolate shavings and whipped cream.
